We build roofs meant to outlast the people who commission them. Slate, lead and tile, set by hand across the county.
Request a quote→Four things, done properly.
No general building. No subcontracted crews. Roofing is the only trade we keep.
Re-roofs
View work →Full strip and recover in natural slate or clay. New battens, breathable membrane, leadwork dressed on site.
Repairs
View work →Slipped tiles, failed flashing, valley and chimney work. Made good before the next weather front, not after.
Flat roofs
View work →Warm-deck GRP and single-ply systems for extensions and dormers. Detailed to drain, built to stay dry.
Heritage
View work →Listed and period properties, matched to the original. Reclaimed slate, hand-made tiles, conservation-grade detail.
One roof, start to finish.
A slate roof at the end of its life.
An Edwardian semi in Reigate. Original Welsh slate, eighty years on, slipping at the verges and letting water into the back bedroom. We stripped it to the rafters in a day.
Sound timber, breathable membrane.
New treated battens over a breathable underlay. Rafters checked, two replaced. Everything that disappears under the finish is the part that decides how long the roof lasts.
Set to outlast its next owner.
Reclaimed slate to match the street, lead valleys dressed by hand, ridge bedded and pointed. Photographed the morning we took the scaffold down.
Survey
We climb up, not just look from the pavement. You get photographs of what we find and a plain account of what needs doing.
Quote
A fixed, itemised price. Materials named, access and waste included. No day-rate surprises once the scaffold is up.
Schedule
A start date you can plan around, weather permitting. One point of contact from first call to final inspection.
Build
Our own roofers, on site daily. Scaffold down, area swept, and a guarantee in writing before we leave.
“They found a problem the previous two firms had quoted around. Explained it, photographed it, and priced the fix without inflating the rest. The roof has been silent through two winters since.”
“We were nervous about a listed cottage. They sourced reclaimed slate that matched the original course for course, and the conservation officer signed it off without a single note.”
“A flat roof on a 1960s extension that had leaked for a decade. They warm-decked the whole thing, detailed the upstands properly, and it has not so much as misted since.”
“What stood out was the tidiness. Same two men every day, scaffold down on the date they gave us, and the garden left cleaner than they found it. The invoice matched the quote to the pound.”

A deliberately small radius. We stay close enough to be on a roof the morning after a storm, and to stand behind every guarantee in person.
